The Late Summer
Creative Dreamwork Retreat
Tuscany | Dreamwork and Masks
Sunday, August 16th - Monday, August 24th, 2026
Led by Kim Gillingham
“Let me retreat from the noise of life…
Let me persist in divine astonishment, so that I am ready to behold your wonders.”
-C.G. Jung from "The Red Book”
The Creative Dreamwork retreat offers time to truly step away from our daily life and into a strongly held container in nature for deep creative exploration. Traveling to Tuscany, we gather a company of artists and enter an immersive process of working with dreams, imagination, the body, the voice, and one another. Together we explore and begin to integrate new material offered by the psyche.
This retreat offers an abundance of time for dream work - including dream walk throughs, mat work, group work, private check-ins and full hearted creative expression of what wants to come through. In the Late Summer Retreat- we will also be working with masks created from our inner work.
Our days also give us ample time to dwell in silence, rest, swim, roam, be with community, create and to return with a sense of renewed artistic purpose.
The Retreat:
This is a 9-day immersive retreat (with half-day arrival and departure days). We will be working together each day. Due to the depth of the process, some prior experience with Creative Dreamwork is required.
In this retreat, we will be working with masks in a process learned from Marion Woodman. Sourced from inner work, each participant is supported in creating and exploring a mask. Through mat work, partnered, and group work, the energy of the mask is explored, expressed, and integrated.
No previous mask experience is needed.
Our Day:
• 8:00–9:00am — Silent breakfast
• 9:00am–12:00pm — Morning session
• 12:00–3:30pm — Lunch and open time
• 3:30–6:00pm — Afternoon session
• 6:00–7:00pm — Dinner
• Evening — Still point or integrative session
In support of the group container, participants are expected to be present for the full duration of the retreat and attend all sessions.
Location:
We will return to Le Pianore—a beautiful, rustic, family-owned villa in Tuscany. The space is simple, grounded, and deeply supportive of our work together.
Some of the buildings date back to 700s, and the environment reflects the history of the region. The structures are earthy, lived-in, and connected to the land. The setting invites a slower pace and a deeper relationship to the work, the land, and one another.
Accommodations include a limited number of private, shared rooms, a group room and a shared yurt with a sky light to see the stars. Each room is unique.
Le Pianore is committed to sustainability, with meals lovingly prepared and sourced locally- with much of it grown upon the property. We eat our meals family style- with three meals each work day.
Fee:
The all-inclusive tuition ranges from $3,500–$4,900 depending on accommodation selection. Fee does not include travel costs to Le Pianore— ground or air.
Accommodations:
Private - $4900
Couple Suite (shared bed) - $4700 (per guest)
Double room - $3900 (per guest)
Group room $3500 (per guest)
While we will make every effort to meet your accomodation request, each tier of the room choices is limited

In respect of the work, the retreat is intentionally kept small and places are limited.
We aim to create a small company of diverse artists across disciplines and stages of life. The retreat is for artists with a longing and capacity for depth who are interested in exploration of their inner and creative lives.
This year, we will review applications on a rolling basis. We encourage early submission as spaces may fill before the final deadline. Apply early.
Due to higher demand, we will also be allocating some places through a lottery system drawn from applicants.
When the retreat is full, we will create a waitlist.
